Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip, Chery Chip Lactation Cookies


  • I know a long name for one of my favorite cookies!
  • Trust me they are delicious!
  • This recipe is great for mothers who are nursing.
  • It helps to keep your milk supply up and/or increase your milk supply. Use more brewers yeast and oatmeal if you are wanting to increase your supply.
Ingredients:
  1. 1 cup butter
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  4. 4 tablespoons water
  5. 2 tablespoons flax seed
  6. 2 eggs
  7. 1 teaspoon vannilla
  8. 2 cups flour
  9. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  10. 1 teaspoon salt
  11. 2 1/2 cups oats
  12. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (Optional)
  13. 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  14. 1/2 cup cherry chips (you can substitute with more chocolate chips if you'd like)
  15. 3 tablespoon brewer's yeast
Directions
  1. Preheat the over to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix the flax seed and water, let sit for 3 to 5 min.
  3. Beat butter, sugar and brown sugar well.
  4. Add eggs and mix well.
  5. Add flaxseed mix and vanilla, beat well.
  6. Sift together flour, brewers yeast, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Add dry ingredients to butter mix.
  8. Stir in oats, chips and walnuts.
  9. Scoop onto baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 12 minutes.
  11. Let set for a couple minutes then remove from cookie sheet or baking stone.
