Moms:
Please remember to do regular breast exams. I just went to a funeral this morning for a 23 year old that passed away from breast cancer. She wasn't even able to breastfeed. Sometimes genetics and rare sicknesses win. Her dream was to have children. Her life was short. In her honor I'm putting up a video to help spread the word.

I just found you via WW on your other blog, but my post today is on BFing and I run Boobfood on FB, so I had to check it out. :) I'm following both blogs all around! I'm sorry about your loss- my dad passed in 2010 from Melanoma- I think it's another cancer people don't think you can die from- I thought the same until it happened to me. I'm actually working on a post on how breastfeeding my son has helped me cope with my grief. Great blog- can't wait to poke around more! :)

Wow! Video made me cry! Lost a dear friend a year ago from Breast Cancer. And I am a 6 1/2 Yr. survivor of a rare throat cancer! Thanks for sharing this! My daughter-in-law is breastfeeding our 13 month old beautiful granddaughter and not sure when she plans to stop ~ so far, so good for all of them! :-)
