Football Lover or Not - You Will Love This!

I'm not really into football. Alright, I'll come out of the closet, I hate the idea of football.

Why you might ask?

Because my husband can't focus on anything else while it is on. I don't like that it's supposed to last a certain time, and always goes over. People that are into it, are REALLY into it! Then the players always get hurt. I grew up with all sisters, so that didn't motivate me to watch the game.

Now I have boy's. I do my best to support the game. I even dress my little Isaak in football shirts. He has football socks as well. I'm trying to not be discouraging.

For all the football fans {and people like me that don't get into the game} I found the perfect outfit today for babies!

I love them! I have to say the mix is adorable! I may not like football, but I do like shopping!

i Breastfeed

I have to admit that I know nothing about app's for phones. I got a cell phone when I was pregnant with my oldest 5 years ago, and just have it for emergencies. There seems to be an app for everything now a days. ;)

I got an email from Medela saying that they now have an iPhone/iTouch app, iBreastfeed, is now available for free on iTunes!

Things to Look For When Purchasing a Swing Set from Ezine @rticles:

• Decide what materials you want to use wood, metal or plastic for the frame of your swing set. Wood is your best bet, but not all wood is the same quality. Northern White Cedar and Con-heart Redwood are good for strength, resistance to decay and do not require staining to protect the wood. Metal is sturdy but they do not have add-on features. Metal swing sets are cemented into the ground. They are much for permanent. Plastic last a few years and have limited warranties.

Car Seats

A Few Car Seat Safety Tips:

• Did you know that car seats are not any good after 5 years? This is when the spacing of my kids became critical. I didn't want to buy all new car seats. You can spend an arm and a leg on infant car seats alone.
• There is also this rule I didn't know about until my second child was born. Babies/kids are not supposed to have a coat on while in a car seat. Crazy! I went to take my youngest home from the hospital in a thin sweater, a nurse told me that nothing loose should be on him. You're supposed to pile blankets on top of them to keep them warm. The likelihood of people following that rule in Omaha, Nebraska is slim. Think about the people that do not have a garage! My kids complain that they are cold even when I do have them in a coat. It does make sense that I have trouble getting my skinny kids buckled in their car seats when they are bundled up with their coats on.

A Few Things That the Average Joe Does:

• Many people have more then one car seat for each of their cars! Ya, more expense, but it beats trying to get a car seat out of one vehicle and in another.
• There are places that recycle old car seat, and give you a discount on other things in the store. Toys R Us/Babies R Us do this. They do not do this all the time, so you have to check their ads. They also do not discount the whole store. Usually it's a discount off something for baby at their  stores.
• There is also programs in place in most larger cities where you give them an old car seat, and they give you a new one. We did this to get my parents a car seat. They even help you fit it right in your car! We found out about the program through our pediatrician office. The bad part about this is that you don't get to pick a brand/color.

When to Buy a Bra During Pregnancy

Trying to figure out when to buy a bra is difficult when you are pregnant!

Here are a few tips to go by when you are pregnant:

• Shop early in your pregnancy for support and quality.
• In general breasts are tender and enlarge in the beginning. When this happens, this is one of first signs of being pregnant.
• A good, supportive bra can help to alleviate tenderness.
• A maternity shop is not needed at this time. Although many maternity shops are helpful with fitting. Shop were you feel comfortable going to get a full coverage bra. 

Here are a few tips to go by towards the end of your pregnancy:

• Try to wait close to the end of your pregnancy to buy a bra. You'll need a bra that fits after the baby is born. Sometimes this is difficult to be prepared if you go into labor really early.
• Again the same rule applies as above {supportive is important}!
• Do not get more then a couple bra's at this time. Your breasts will change after the baby is born.
• If you plan on breastfeeding, a good nursing bra is important to have.  There are many brands and styles, so be prepared to try on many. 
• One of my first outings after having my babies was to buy a few bra's. I knew ahead of time what places I liked to shop at. Once you find a brand(s) you like and the size you are; it's easy to shop online. Going out with a new baby isn't an easy task.
