Trick or Treat!

EcoMom has a spooky thing going on right now on their site. You can go to their site and find 12 bat hidden on their product links.

Copy the product link names that have the 12 hidden bats on them, and paste them somewhere on your computer.

Once you are all done finding the 12 bats, email EcoMom at: halloween@ecomom.com

You'll want to include the 12 product names, your full name and email address.

They will send you a 15% your next order code. Your name will go into a pot, and three people will win a $25 gift certificate.

Their site is really fun! Full of pregnancy, nursing items and even things for older babies and kids.

I found the bats already, and it didn't take long. I will not tell you the answers.

Hurry! They will only give you until October 17 to find the bats.

Things to Do While You Are Nursing or Pumping

While You're Nursing:
  1. If you have an older child this is the perfect time to read to them. They can turn the pages. They won't feel left out.
  2. Sing to your baby. They love hearing your voice.
  3. Trim their nails. I used to do this all the time! They hold still better then if you are not nursing them.
  4. Listen to audio books, or music.
  5. Talk on the phone.
  6. Rock in a rocking chair.
**Do not attempt to drink anything hot while you are nursing!

While You're at the Pump:
  1. Eat.
  2. Drink.
  3. Call to check on your baby.
  4. Listen to audio books, or music.
  5. Rock in a rocking chair.
**Many pumps are double pumps. This makes doing things much easier!

Adiri Nurser

My nephew would never take a bottle. My husband was his babysitter. Elijah (my nephew) would refuse a bottle the whole time. My sister taught Elijah how to use a sippy cup really early.

Even after teaching him to use a sippy cup, he still didn't want to drink his momma's milk very much.  He would nurse like crazy when my sister would get home from work. He also would get diaper rashes because he wasn't drinking enough during the day.

I often wonder if my nephew was given an Adiri Ultimate Nurser, if he would of drank his momma's milk?

The Adiri Ultimate Nurser is BPA free, and built to feel just like a breast.

WaterGeeks is giving away an Adiri Ultimate Nurser on Cubby Cheeks Thinks site!

I love any crib that converts! You get more uses out of the same piece of furniture.
Park Coffee-color Changing Table
You may remember when I posted about using a desk for a changing table. I do like this changing table at Overstock.com because it has a lot of storage room. After it's changing purpose is up, you could totally use it for another furniture piece in your house. It has a perfect spot for a basket on the top of it.
Simply Classic Cherry Rocker
A standard rocking chair. My mom says that every babies room needs a rocking chair, or glider. I happen to like the classic look. Add a quilt, or your favorite blanket on the back of it for your own touch.
I really like their gift basket selection as well. So many choices! A gift basket for just about any occasion.

I'm So Excited!

I just got an email last night that said I am the winner of Fun Follow Friday!  You might be asking, "What does this mean?" I get ad space on My Wee View and Simple Stacie for a week! I really do love their blogs! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It's fun making new friends in the blog world.

I started this blog in hopes to answer people's questions about breastfeeding. I struggled so much with breastfeeding my own babies, and wanted to share some of the things I went through.  If you start at the beginning of this blog; you can understand some of the struggles I went through with my son Mica. Here's the struggles I had with Isaak. My breastfeeding experiences with my boy's ended up being very positive.

If you ever want to know more about me, visit my family blog here. I write on my family blog almost daily.

Have a Great Weekend!

Since it is Labor Day weekend, I get a rare day off with my husband! We both work full time, but do not have daycare.
It works like this: I get our boys Saturday and Sunday, my younger sister takes care of our boy's and her own two on Monday, Daddy takes care of our boy's and our two nephews on Tuesday and Wednesday, my parents take care of our boy's on Thursday and my sister takes care of our boy's and her own on Friday.
If you think that's complicated, my sister is a teacher and her schedule changes most every semester. Daddy works Saturday and Sunday. We're lucky he has a boss that will work around our nutty schedule.
I love that the boy's are always watched by people that care about them, but hate that we rarely get a day off together.

A great weekend it will be! I just hope that I don't get the head cold that our two year old has.

Any plans for you over the weekend?
Hop on over to:

They are offering a 10% Discount for ALL purchases now through Monday Sept 6th at Midnight! Just enter Coupon Code "LaborDay10." All of their orders have free flat rate shipping over $100.

Decorate a Nursery With Wordle

Have you ever heard of Wordle?
It's a site where you can place text in, pick a color scheme, font and a layout. It shift the words around for you. This isn't made to be originally yours, but it's fun none the less.

I could see someone putting in a lyrics to a song, lullaby, nursery rhyme for a kid or baby's room. Print on some nice paper, frame it and hang it on their wall.

One of Isaak's favorite is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I found the lyrics, pasted them in Wordle and this is what I got:
One of Mica's favorites is Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
Here's a few versions of that:
